CONTEST!

Winner Announced!

In order to promote consideration of tobacco cessation reimbursement as a way of driving systems change regarding tobacco cessation services, I created a contest for the best letter to providers. The contest was promoted on list-serves for ATTUD, American Lung Association, American Public Health Association, American College of Preventive Medicine and Linked-In. The idea here is to thank clinicians for their referrals and invite them to look at the economics of tobacco cessation in their practices.

Please see the winner’s letter here

The winner of the $500 award is Barbara Odac, MD, MPH, PGY-3 Resident, Griffin Hospital.

All applicants received a template for “Self-funded research in tobacco cessation” that can be used to jump-start simple research projects that are suitable for publication. if you want a copy, write to me at eanselm@msn.com.
